Le Songbook de Jean-Christian MICHEL, ce luxueux album de 40 pages sur papier glacé, avec couverture polychromie de bristol pelliculé a connu un tel succès qu'il est désormais en rupture de stock et est malheureusement épuisé. Compte tenu de l'explosion du numérique qui rend peu à peu obsolète l'imprimrie musicale traditionnelle, ce superbe livret "papier" ne sera pas réédité.

Écriture en Ut

Les partitions de ce livret adoptent une écriture en Ut permettant la lecture directe pour orchestre, piano, orgue, synthétiseur et autres instruments en Ut.

La partie d'orgue a été "contractée" en partie de piano, le plus fidèlement possible sans devenir difficile pour autant. La mélodie y est présente, ce qui facilite la tâche de l'exécutant. Certains rythmes binaires n'ont été que très rarement utilisés pour simplifier l'écriture, comme il est d'usage de le faire pour l'écriture de jazz.

Transcriptions en sib pour clarinette et instruments en sib.

Les transcriptions en sib des mélodies sont éditées en un recueil  séparé, pour que le musicien, clarinettiste ou trompettiste, puisse lire sa partie sans avoir à transposer.

Jean-Christian Michel’s *Songbook*—a lavish 40-page album on glossy paper featuring a full-color, laminated cardstock cover—was so successful that it is now out of stock and, unfortunately, no longer available. Given the digital boom that is gradually rendering traditional music publishing obsolete, this superb print edition will not be reprinted.

Writing in C

The scores in this libretto adopt a script in C allowing direct reading for orchestra, piano, organ, synthesizer and other instruments in C.

The organ part has been "contracted" into a piano part, as faithfully as possible without becoming difficult. The melody is present there, which facilitates the task of the performer. Some binary rhythms have only very rarely been used to simplify writing, as is customary for jazz writing.

Bb transcriptions for clarinet and Bb instruments. 

Bb transcriptions of melodies are edited in a collection of separate sheets, so that the musician, clarinetist or trumpeter,  can read his part without having to transpose.
